EMILIA ROMAGNA

Emilia Romagna is a region located in the northern part of Italy. The territory is mostly plain, although the region also has a good deal of mountains and on the eastern side it confines with the Adriatic Sea. The capital city of the region is Bologna, whereas the other capital cities are: Modena, Ravenna, Parma, Reggio nell'Emilia, Ferrara, Rimini and Forlì. The provinces of Romagna are: Bologna - Ferrara - Forli/Cesena - Modena - Parma - Piacenza - Ravenna - Reggio Emilia - Rimini.

 

Tourism in Emilia Romagna
Tourism is the main source of income in Emilia Romagna, being one of the most visited Italian regions during the summer months thanks to its long beaches. The Adriatic Coast endows tourists with one of the most complete offers as far as hospitality and entertainment are concerned: it provides many Hotels and inns of every category (from two-stars to five-stars).
There are several attractions where one can have fun and be well entertained, such as discotheques, pubs, restaurants and water parks. There are also all types of schools: parachuting, skin diving, water skiing, sailing and windsurfing. The main tourist resorts of the Romagna coast are: Rimini, Cattolica, Cesenatico, Gatteo mare, Misano Adriatico, Bellaria Igea Marina.
